Just because the FIA might regulate it doesnt mean that any grassroots effort suddenly gets squashed. I dont think that F1 or the WEC has had any true impact on weekend warrior racing to be honest.

This needs an East Coast version! I was just looking at a late 90s Esprit the other day and got wistful for when cars were designed with character and not purely for ‘Ring times. 

Lets be honest here, H2Oi isnt some anomaly as far as showoff behavior at car meets/shows. It simply is just that to the Nth degree.

I kind of look at it this way. Drivers have to feel comfortable being at the limit of their abilities to be competitive in F1. To do that they need to:

My basic survival mechanism for NYC was to assume that every other driver was a moron. Especially if they didnt have NY plates with parking scrapes on the bumper. I managed to do that for 8 years without getting into an accident.

Still, my least favorite bridge was the Goethals. I felt like I was going to get sideswiped every time I drove over it.

I lived in Bushwick for years and had to take the bridge to get to the city or LGA. You could see the rebar in it where the pavement had worn away and nobody bothered to fix it. I felt safer traveling across the Tappan Zee and that is saying a lot.

Having lived in AZ for two years recently, I would say that they are a little bit more low key. Same love of meth but its too hot for them to put in as many derp-hours as FL.

That or the house has to be rebuilt using stilts like they required in much of the Jersey Shore when it got flooded from Sandy.

I tend to lean more towards being a fiscal conservative but I do understand some of the real world conundrum here. I am looking at it from the point of view of two different groups
