Toads Turnpike is amazing. End of story.

The idea of my primary gaming device involving tinkering with driver updates, inconsistent software updates, poor dev support, and an even shittier community that has nothing more to do than spout a catch-phrase that was coined by themselves on the web.

I dont know where you're living but my mom never drank nor smoked and we didnt have money for anything either. The "well they blew it all on smokes and booze!" excuse is an all-time favourite of those who dont want to think about how lesser fortunate have it.

He/she's using it correctly actually, but nice try.

meet the contrarian, same as the old contrarian, until it becomes...wait...

It is a game. A GAME. It's meant to be fun, not some personal theater of egos. The notion that the only reason that there are people who don't play at a higher level is your very specific grocery list is absurd, to be kind. Much of it comes down to the fact that not everyone has time to spend 3-6 hours or more a day

You 2 hardcore 4 lyfe bro

Video games were originally created to be fun. Who cares about being a pro? My dad plays games and has ever since Atari came out. He loves first person shooters, especially CoD and Halo. He doesn't always do great, sometimes he is 2 and 10 or 5 and 10, but he has fun. When he does even better than that, he's ecstatic.

Hey kids, don't even think of starting to learn the guitar unless you play like Petrucci straight from the womb.

To each, his own. As someone that isn't very good at FPSs but finds them fun to watch, this is an excellent way to get me to actually play and have fun without dealing with the often toxic fps communities. For me, it is definitely about having fun regardless of whether you think the game is lying to me or not.

Why do you give a shit?

While I agree with that sentiment in real life (when it comes to participation medals, everyone's a winner, you can do whatever you put your mind to, etc.) I don't agree when you're trying to sell a product. If you want to sell to as many people possible, you want to have something for everyone. My dad for example,

omg bro you are SO xXh4RdC0r3Xx

If you are going to the COD series expecting skills will be involved, you are going to have a bad time ...

I used to think like you when I was in college. Now that I have a job and adult responsibilities, I have a lot less time to play games and almost never reach the pro level. Now I value each and every olive branch developers extend to the more casual audience. I'm not asking for the same experience as hardcore

Maybe they are having fun anyways. For a brief period I was almost to the pro gamer level. It was fun. But I had a brain injury and things changed. I can still do great sometimes. But alot of times now I only rank in the middle, sometimes near the bottom. I have fun win or lose because its how games should be. If you

And if you aren't good at it there should be no way for you to have any fun at all. That'll show em!

This is beautiful.

so basically no REAL level cap increase? Just 2 light levels? Stupid - those of us who can't so raids because we are apparently too dumb to complete them (or just you know have schedules that don't coexist with friends) shouldn't bother with what is essentially 3 story missions and no exp gain?
