What I find stunning is that Marc Marquez has so much more left in him that he can conceivably win in the next decade the same number of MotoGP titles he won this decade, if not more. That assumes HRC can stay two steps ahead of the rest, of course, but I do think it’s a reasonable prediction.

Probably because its novelty wore off quite quickly. That said, I kinda want a Battlefield: Hardline version of Homefront set in—

This is why I love the F1 YouTube channel. Much of their post-race content does include the stuff that doesn’t get broadcast time often, and people love it.

Please uncle, tell me that story again!

You are Number One.

That’s the thing for me. Using a subcompact to find the ceiling of the automobile as a concept may be a valiant effort but it’d be woefully unprepared to get there. To be the fastest and most capable, and to deliver the ultimate joy of mechanical control, you have to create a car to that specification.

Part of me thinks it’s because automakers chase the “best” empirically without thinking about drivability. It’s why the McLaren F1 still impresses. From the ground up it’s meant to be just a driver’s car of the best kind, and not any more.

Exquisite. I really hope Ferrari wise up and get out of the May Cheong (Maisto, Bburago) deal because Takara Tomy does a better job.

True. The more upscale brands tend to command sterling money to pay for the detail. Which they do.

Makes me glad that Westerners get to have even just the Basic ones. They're really good.

Andrew: do you have models from their Car Culture line? Because if you think that's impressive, the later CC cars are even better. Also, look into buying Tomica, a Japanese die-cast brand that has three tiers, all of which are simply fantastic.

Toyota wants to cut the limiters out of their TS050 and attack Le Mans unbridled, much like Porsche did when they slung the 919 unrestricted round the Nordschleife. I say they go for it, and then go for it again a few hours later with the Mulsanne chicanes removed from the equation in a combined top speed+lap record

JGTC: you wanted a free-for-all racing series? It already existed in the one place where it can only exist.

It can’t. And it shouldn’t.

Ferrari. What in the bumfuck are they supposed to do to win it all? Because this time it seems like the car was dialed in, but not Vettel, which really put them in a deep hole early on, and made the upgrades look like band-aid solutions than the killer weapon (and they did look killer). They better hope they can

Well, I guess I can take my K-pop-loving friends to an FE race now, or at least get them to watch one.

I’m simultaneously excited and doubtful about this class. Can’t seem to pin the tail on this donkey, but something about Extreme E still seems a bit of a reach for me. Or maybe I’m just waiting for these things to have enough range relative to pace to run the old, long Safari Rally in anger.

I loved this thing, but feel like a sequel may be something no publisher would have the balls to try and greenlight for production.

Jesus fuck I finished that game just a week ago, right after Other M which I played about 2 months ago. This take is the best of all Metroid: Other M takes (and a truly hot Metal Gear Solid 2 take).

I played that for 90 minutes, uninstalled, and slept. I woke up fucking Dante’s ass six weeks till Saturday in the center of Inferno.
