Agree. I just bought two masks with valves and I’ve been testing the “outflow” from them and I can barely feel anything. It’s about 1/10 the output if I were just breathing out. It’s not as good as a fully enclosed N95, but I suspect it is just as effective as someone wearing a handkerchief over their face.

Depends on where you are. In NJ, where I live, real estate prices are directly related to proximity to the train line into NYC. People are paying a premium to be able to take public transportation that is not impacted by traffic. The same holds true for the surrounding burbs on the other side of the city.
