I would guess some professional basketball players could get up there too. Being 6' 10" gets a lot of the heavy lifting out of the way.

+1 Welcome to the machine indeed
Wait, your wife has to have thought of you as hot at least once?
one year out of warranty and you write a comment like that?
So now there are 2 bottles of ketchup at that Perkins that have not been refilled from a giant tub in the back.
I would bet there are quite a few. Throwing 100 is just half the battle- throwing it where you want it to go is another. It’s similar to why the guys who win the long drive contests are not on the PGA tour.
The people who rode the initial crest were not hurt. It was the people the wave came down on and then pushed who got hurt. It’s the same when I play in rough surf. As long as you know what’s coming, it can be a lot fun.
The downside is grown men offering her money for sex. Yes, i’ve personally seen this happen to a girl who was 16 years old.
Even if he is the center of attention, far more people are enjoying it than not.
Depends. I know people who pull in $400-500K a year, have done so for years, but have to work to pay the mortgage on their mansions and kids’ tuition. Choosing an expensive lifestyle doesn’t mean you can’t be rich.
I’m not rich under the parameter I set (Top 1%). And if you look at my life, I would not appear to be rich either: 10 year old car (only one); bought a fixer-upper house two years ago; vacations every other year; 4 year-old phone; no cable TV.
Looks like I’ll be going to BK for the first time in about 10 years. I’ve been going to White Castle to get their Impossible sliders but they are not close by.
She got into Berkeley on her own but tried to cheat her way into Tulane?
For 1/3 of the class, you’re right- it’s about your name, family connections, and wealth. For another 1/3, it’s all about what the student can do for the school- star athletes, musical geniuses, kids with patents in their name, etc. And for the last 1/3, it’s pure meritocracy. And not coincidentally, the meritocracy…
Info like this keeps me in check. I will house a half dozen Krispy Kreme when i can get them (twice a year), but I also watch what I eat for the most part. I love milkshakes so the info about Sonic’s craziness is kind of helpful.
That’s easy to say in July.
It’s not surprising but it’s still morally repulsive. The woman cited in the article made $250k a year. She could have been funding a 529 that would easily pay for college.
Fuck these people. If you’re a doctor or lawyer, you should have been putting money into the kid’s 529 for a decade at least rather than driving a fucking BMW.
That is ... not the reality. I knew two guys who delivered chinese food as seniors in high school. They ate the food all the time. Drank the soup. Ate some noodles. Couple of the chicken and broccolis.
I delivered food one summer. Can confirm this happens. Tip: don’t be a regular who tips poorly. On the other hand, if you are a regular who tips well, nothing will ever happen to your food and you get bumped to the top of the list for delivery every time.
