You guys around here keep using that word and it’s increasingly clear that you don’t know what it means.

Shhhh. Someone is supposed to hand them the great job that allows them to become middle class, buy a home, support a family on one income, and live the dream. It’s supposed to be an easy, risk free, proposition. It’s just not “fair” when everyone doesn’t win.

No one.

Splinter’s commenters show their age on things like this.

I criticized the kid for writing about his experience with a tone that suggested that he did not understand that he’d been shown something about how life in the real world works.

Maybe you should check out the DSM-5.

Everyone should work for a good employer. Everyone should work with good peers. Everyone should work for a quality management chain. Go find me someone that can say they have all three of those things or even one of them.

He, in the form of asking for a rec, informed his immediate superior that he’s thinking about leaving. His immediate superior ran that up the chain because that’s cause to start the process for a new requisition. I don’t know how long the process of getting and filling a requisition at Home Depot takes but it wouldn’t

Aw. A random internet person has projected his or her insecurities about their own individual ability to succeed in life.

I think it’s funny when progressives say ignorant shit like this.

Why give up a confirmed shitty situation in favor of one that potential to be better?

A low/no skill worker in California is never going to be able to afford a home in California. Never. Insert many of the top half dozen or maybe dozen metros in the US and the story is the same.

I promise you that superiors draw a distinction between employees that need to be trained and employees that figure shit out on their own.

Would you like fries with that?

Reading is fundamental. I’m pretty sure the tone of that “which was taxed” is not about the fact that this kid thinks 1k is chump change.

Life Lesson #4.

You literally described wealth envy. That’s not a good look.

Having someone take your hand and show you how to do stuff is an exception in life. It is not the rule. Life lesson #1.

I know this rich vs poor thing is a popular straw man around here but let’s be honest. It’s not about rich vs poor. It never has been. It’s about forcibly taking money from one group and using it to fund stuff for other groups. Progressives would do well to stop fighting that straw man and have an honest discussion

If you can’t tell that your car is running without having to turn a key to stop it or without having your big honkin’ V8 noise then you probably shouldn’t be allowed to drive.
