Overwhelming majority of “rich” people have jobs. That’d be jobs where they get paid according to what their employer thinks their services are worth.

People should really read about DARPA’s research if they’re going to talk about it.

I find that a person’s willingness to take action and put their own comfort on the line is a good barometer for their commitment to a cause. People that aren’t willing to deal with discomfort or adversity to get what they claim to want don’t want that thing very badly.

How is being a member of a union comparable to starting an employee-owned company where the only ones profiting from anyone’s labor are the laborers themselves?

You’d think that a bunch of (probably) 1099 contractors that write for an internet site and feel like work is their boss exploiting their labor for profit might band together and start their own cooperatively owned/operated internet news site...

A VAT wouldn’t happen in the US because most American progressives wouldn’t support a tax that they have to pay and conservatives obviously wouldn’t get behind that sort of massive tax hike.

The main difference between one group of white people and the next is who they’ve chosen to blame. White progressives blame “the rich” and white conservatives blame everyone that isn’t white.
