There is a difference between an indictment and a conviction at most judicial levels for sure but federal prosecutors tend to avoid indictments on cases where they don’t feel confident that they can get a conviction. I believe the federal conviction rate is in the 90s aka if you’re indicted you’re probably screwed.

I don’t know about where you live but here a full fledged (read not cadet/not probationary) fire fighter makes at least 56k/year. That’s hardly “low pay”. Especially not if the guy’s wife has a job too.

It’s pretty much the same thing the world has seen from America as long as it has existed. Perceived cultural superiority has always been #1 for white Americans and they have consistently voted for things they believe will preserve said “superiority”. Their economic state of affairs is a very distant second.

I used to believe it was my duty as a good American to pay income taxes to help less fortunate people. I was proud of the size of my tax bill. I mostly ignored the fact that the system penalizes single people that aren’t interested in kids, marriage, home ownership, or any of the other giveaways in the tax code.

1) Ok so unions aren’t for everyone. That’s fine. I asked because you said unionized employees make 34% more than other employees. So why shouldn’t a surgeon want to be in a union. I’m a software developer. Am I liable to make 34% more if I get my buddies together and unionize?
