Every time i’ve ever been fitted for rental ski boots, the conversation goes the same.

I also have calves that make boots impossible, but I finally found some. I wear them CONSTANTLY.

Vince McMahon, standing next to AJ Styles, doing Daniel Bryan Danielson’s chant.

Fair enough! In any event, I don’t particularly care for pro-wrestling but between this farewell and his HOF speech I certainly like this fella, he seems to have a good head/heart, and I hope it can stay that way for a few decades.

They made him multiple offers of that sort, but reports were he was adamant about only coming back to wrestle.

You really get the feeling that, for him, being involved in wrestling means being in the ring. Obviously him being a valet to his wife would be the most obvious way to keep him around, especially since her sister is probably going to be out of action for a long time after her neck surgery. I just had a similar but

Seriously. The Masked Man and the Dead Wrestler of the Week series was beyond heartbreaking, and I only watched the WWF for a couple of years in the mid-1980s. Stunned at how many of them were dead before 50.

Only the fourth time I’ve cried during RAW; thankfully, this is the first time it’s happened with a guy getting out when he can, and not during a memorial show.

Probably one of the best retirement speeches in sports or sports entertainment. This is why this guy was so loved - yes, he was the underdog, but he was genuine and selfless. His sport may be fake, but his personality was not and people gravitated toward it. He reminds me a lot of Mick Foley in that way.

Go buy this book. It’s incredible work by our former contributor The Masked Man.

Alive and entirely unable to do the YES

Wow, just looked this guy up...I was vaguely aware of the family name but had no idea how horrible the backstory was...4 of 5 brothers all dead before the age of 35...that is fucked up.

Because of stories like Bryan’s 3 concussions in his first 5 months, all WWE Performance Center trainees now where special headgear.

That was one of the most incredible moments I’ve ever seen. Here I am “holding back” tears out of pure selfishness, because I don’t want this guy to go away. Yet, I know he has to for his own well being. Its all so damn conflicting, but I’m glad he made the right choice, it’d be awful to see a genuinely nice guy (or

Now playing

Thirty years ago, not only would Daniel Bryan have wrestled again, he would have returned months after nearly dying from Toxic Shock Syndrome, a la Mike Von Erich.

Enough people have already said this but this is for the best. We’ve seen too many wrestlers die young from the pills, drugs, booze, and other means to cope with the pain they’ve earned from a career of wrestling. This is a positive thing.

I finally get this guy.

I don’t think the point is bashing Pete Carroll as much as it is bashing the idea that Carroll, Lynch and Wilson are paragons of virtue that objectively make Seattle a team that couldn’t annoy anyone. Particularly paired with a woman-beater calling the QB that whooped his ass two rounds ago a bitch.

Pete Carroll is very much involved in the drafting and scouting process in Seattle. He and Schneider are a team, and I seriously doubt a second rounder gets spent on a defensive player without Carroll’s OK.

Punched his girlfriend in the face? That boy a bitch.
