South Carolina is too small for a republic and too large for an insane asylum.
“South Carolina is a special place, known for the kindness and welcoming nature of its people”
A state that celebrates that it went to literal war over “state’s rights” is now cool with the Federal Government telling it what to do... sure, why not.
But the upside is that whenever anybody who supported Trump derps about how a Dem candidate is corrupt, not Jesus-ey enough, lacks integrity, etc. you can scream at them to eat the world’s fattest shit, guilt-free. He took all claims to any kind of morality and blew them to hell for the rest of his voter’s lifetimes.
Oh come on. Seriously why are we even going through the motions of extending the benefit of the doubt? If it looks like shit and smells like shit for god’s sake you don’t need to taste it.
This Admin is redefining the term ‘political corruption’ in ways that are so ridiculously flagrant, it’s almost like they know they’ll face no consequences from a knuckle-dragging base of supplicants, a cowed press, and terrified political opponents. Weird, huh?
I mean, in Kings world thats Maine in general.
Can’t believe it occurred to me just now after thirty years that he’s basically doing Lovecraft in a adjacent state.
King has always sprinkled things like this in. In Pet Semetary one of the characters drives by a sign pointing to the town of Jerusalem’s Lot. Fun stuff.
You are assuming the WH or DOJ would enforce a court decision against Texas
Understand your point, but not with EVs not being practical. Their range/capability is more than adequate for the vast majority of the driving population. The problem lies with the existing infrastructure not being able to support the wave of electrification. In most cases, yes, people are more than fine with…
Jesus, when you make Rick Perry look reasonable.....
Plus UF shelling out over half a million on security. That’s another big sign at how bad it can be. They should get an itemized list of ever security measure to read out out in court.
I’m no lawyer, but the fact that people have been both killed by a car and shot at during both of the last two Spencer sponsored events gives the University of Ohio defense team a pretty good case here.
People have been shot at and run over by cars and killed at Spencer’s events. Couldn’t they forbid it as simple danger to the public? They wouldn’t let a group of ISIS leaders speak at an American university, would they?
The 1st Amendment never gave people the right to incite death and violence or even just plain old riots.
It’s almost like the First Amendment is actually quite terrible when it comes to enshrining freedom of speech and that the Founding Fathers weren’t infallible gods when they wrote the fucking thing.
Yes, to the same people who make phone calls on their landlines, pay for groceries by writing a check, and watch the evening news on their CRT Zenith television set from their Barcalounger.
