“I will be the best for the gays”— Donald Trump ::nominates Mike Pence days later::

Then it isn’t a blind trust, and I have very serious concerns about his conflicts of interest. He will take actions that enrich him and his children, even if it isn’t in America’s best interests.

I actually just read an article where Trump’s general counsel said the company will be run by the kids in a “blind trust.” That isn’t a blind trust...

Now that he is president-elect, will Trump place the Trump Organization into a blind trust, or will his children run it? If it’s the latter I think that is a YUGE conflict of interest. I doubt he will place itin a blind trust— he’ll probably be our very own Berlusconi.

I don’t think he’s good at playing dumb. He’s in many ways like Berlusconi in Italy— who didn’t do wonders for Italy’s economy, to put it lightly.

And meanwhile many of them are like “the stock market is rallying...therefore we our economy will do well under Trump.” Meanwhile, the rally was with companies that will prosper under the repeal of Obamacare (insurance companies and drug companies), and that rally will not be sustainable once Trump implements his

I’ve been hearing this a lot today from other people. I don’t think there is another Trump. He’s exactly who we’ve seen all along: a racist bigot with no intellectual curiosity, a short attention span, and a very thin skin. I’m sincerely worried about the future of the country.

Exactly. They only care about reelections, and I think many of them are fearful of the party that is now led by Trump. So I guess we can expect tax cuts for the wealthy (which the nation cannot afford), increased defense spending (also can’t afford), and repeal of Obamacare (which will help render Medicare

What truly scares me about this election is that there are no checks and balances on Trump— other than the understaffed Supreme Court. We only have a Republican Congress, which will be spineless given that they fear that the composition of the party has changed. Most of them will roll over for Trump, and they’ve

That movie was mediocre at best, so no thanks.

I was thinking of that movie, “Anywhere But Here”— it’s probably on Netflix, and will not stream it ever again. Stepmom was truly awful.

Yup. It is the Trump supporters (the uneducated, blue collar workers) who will suffer the most from his policies, assuming they are implemented. His tax proposal, for example, slashes taxes for the wealthy, but raises taxes for the middle class.

Or better yet, maybe they should actually try building infrastructure in down-ballot races before expecting me to believe that they’re viable presidential candidates.

They’re virtually the same candidates: both are completely devoid of facts, are professional trolls, have incoherent policies, and have no relevant experience.

She better not come back in the next election and complain about how terrible Trump is, just as she did with GWB in 2004. She’s done this twice now, and she’s disgrace to this country. I’m not watching any movies that she’s in going forward.

Jill Stein is nothing more than a vanity candidate. She has no relevant experience, and her policy positions are dangerously incoherent and irrational. Anyone who voted for her should be ashamed of themselves.

He actually lost the popular vote. So the national polls weren’t far off- it was the state polls that went off the rails.

Agree...2004 was different. There really weren’t many surprises, and GWB had (i) a strong ground game and (ii) was fairly popular. Trump had neither of those, and he won. I’m disgusted by this.

This really is the US equivalent of Brexit...and we all know Brexit isn’t going so well for the British. I’m very disappointed in this election, and I refuse to recognize Trump as my president. He is manifestly unfit to be president.
