Okay but can someone make a movie about how being single is often pretty great?

No what I’m saying is that these things aren’t really claims to any sort of quality. Like, I’m sure there are some restaurants out there with dirty forks but that doesn’t make having clean forks much of a selling point for a restaurant.
More than that, you think a baby has never choked to death at home? You think your average mom or dad has any friggin’ clue how to deliver infant CPR? Hell, we went to classes before our first, and I was terrified when we brought that baby home. Trusting him to professionals who we had met and vetted was a sweet…
but even then, SUID (the actual name) can happen with trained caregivers. you only need 6-8 minutes w/out oxygen before you start to die. how often do daycare providers check on a sleeping baby? hopefully routinely, but probably not that often.
Not to mention that it suggests that parents who choose to go back to work at or even before 3 months (even when more leave is available) are deliberately playing Russian Roulette with their kid’s life.
Yeah... the headline is a bit trolltastic. It implies the death was caused by leaving the child at daycare and we just don’t know that at the moment.
20/20 did a segment on it too and essentially showed under the pressure people aren’t able to act clearly or quickly enough. The law enforcement professionals they interviewed said it’s even hard if you are highly trained.
“It’s interesting to see how people react under stress. It’s not what you’d expect people do.”
reading through this homeboy’s comments and he is saltier than a god damn cracker.
You know it sounds like you are completely happy with how your life is going, so that’s great! But assigning your mindset to all parents and assuming there is no nuance is very small minded. I know you think you are dropping a truth bomb on everyone but your posts make you sound like a self righteous dick. It’s your…
I feel if this were the case, the people I know who are parents would be better humans on average. I haven’t noticed that. I have no grudge against people with kids in general, because many of them are wonderful, but people with kids who have your attitudes generally always were and continue to be sort of terrible.
Wow. You make all parents sound like insufferable twats.
So, are people that can’t have children for medical reasons “relentlessly self-absorbed?”
I doubt that’s working for you....just sayin....
If cf people are selfish, who exactly aren't they considering in their decision? Their unborn kids that don't exist?
I’m not sure I’d bother much with Eddie. S/he’s one of those regretful types who is positively TROLLING this article and seeking every opportunity to call non-breeders “selfish” for not making the same (not brilliant) choices s/he made.
To raise good people in the world instead of relentlessly self-entitled man-babies?
So, so smug. Not for one minute will I even entertain that you felt morally obligated to have children as a favor to mankind. You had children because you wanted to.
Because you wanted to. The most selfish reason there is.
But you sure do come off as massively condescending. Blah, blah, CF people are selfish, blah, blah. What was the completely selfless reason you had kids?
