Does anyone know what the "iBooks issue" on jailbroken iOS5 is? They mention it on the Dev-team site, but they don't go into details. Is it the same one that was going on with the iPad recently where it would crash when you tried to open a paid book from the app store, but would be okay for any other (non-DRM) book,

That's where I want to be. I wanted to see some feedback from people before I try it. Have you tried rebooting unteathered yet? Aside from jailbreak apps and mobileSafari not running when unteathered, are there any other problems you've found? I'm itching to do this, but need my phone to work in emergency if I

Morgan Freeman please.

Ya know, I have a friend whose twitter account has been hacked for months now, and he was just mugged over the weekend. And he is my only friend who has ever been mugged before (knock on wood). I guess its right...

I've also preferred Rive of News because of the mark read while scrolling feature. It seems to be the most intuitive way to read RSS on the ipad. I'll be giving mr. reader a shot too now that you mention it, I hadn't heard of it before.

and Media Composer if you're serious about it.

Similar story. My roommate dropped his iPhone 4 in a lake while we were camping. Since he had a previous iPhone 4 refused to be serviced due to "water damage" when he hadn't gotten it wet at all besides leaving it in the steamy bathroom during showers or having it in a pocket while walking out in the rain, he figured

No.

Yep, thats what I was thinking. Every time I've ever bought an iPhone, they scan a few different barcodes on the box. Serial numbers, etc. There's no way apple won't know that these are stolen ones.

I wonder what this "fair market value" is competitive with. I sold my (jailbroken and unlocked) 3GS on ebay for enough money to cover my new iPhone 4 and even have a bit left over. Doubt its anything close to that, but I'm curious as to how much of the phone upgrade it will actually cover.

it is?

Also "HD" which I know is technicallyd not a word, but still.

BiteSMS, smsGVextention, infinifolders, and SBSettings are still must-have jailbreak items for me. If it wasn't for those, I think ios5 will have covered all the (actually useful) jailbreak tweaks that I like.

Interesting video and all...but what was going through that guys mind as he was standing that close to a shootout, right behind the officers, in the line of fire!? I would have been outta there. Or at least in a safer spot.

but you're not in the future...

Ya know, I think you're completely right. I actually said the exact same thing when I saw the bootleg tapes of the FCPX sneak peek. I feel like FCPX was made to be used on (or possibly more accurately: in conjunction with) the iPad. Makes sense when you factor in lion and the modular computing ideas and also see how

The reason for the software and wireless controlers to be fakeed is so the whole thing looks more real and plausible.

I thought this was a cool piece. I don't read io9 because it usually isn't all that interesting to me. So I'm glad Giz re-posted this so I had a chance to see it. If I don't want to read an article, I usually just don't click on it. It's much more appealing to me than clicking, reading, and then complaining about

Yeah, because they don't actually have a way to tell if you are teathering or not, they can only tell that you have used X amount of data. So they sent out that text message to people who had used over a certain amount of data. At least thats what it seems like after reading up on gizmodo.

Ah, the streaming must be what got you. I have an unlimited account too, but I don't use very much data. I'd probably be better off on the 2gig plan, but since I could never get unlimited back if I did that, I always keep my unlimited. I'm sure if you stream enough music, thats why you got that message. It was
