Why???
Why???
@manieedarko: I actually don't really have any repos besides the default ones. The only one that I do have is the BiteSMS beta repo on there but their final releases are on the BigBoss repo, so there's no need for that unless you get into the BiteSMS forums.
@manieedarko: I don't have any advice about 4.2. I haven't updated and I probably never will. There really isn't enough change to iPhones to make it worth my time. I'm sure in a day or 2 you will be able to find enough information from other people who have done it in order to make your decision.
@manieedarko: No Problem. Like Ian said, I wouldnt tell my mom or a non-techie friend to do it (although it's easy enough that I bet they could). But if you're reading Gizmodo, know what it is, and are thinking about doing it, for sure do it. Have fun!
@cjoricj: Agreed. It is definitely worth jailbreaking. Thats a good list of reasons. BiteSMS is another great one. And everyone who does it will always find their own little tweak that makes a huge difference for them.
@manieedarko: Yes you should definitely jailbreak it. I waited until the greenpois0n tool was available to upgrade from 3Gs (jailbroken) to 4. The jailbreaking process couldn't be easier and you can always restore to undo it.
@Akibake-: it comes in handy on my phone when my girlfriend (or anyone else without a smart phone) wants to check their email out on the go on my iPhone. Other then that situation, I'm sure most of us prefer using Mail.
@benztech55amg: Good to know. Thanks for sharing!
@whatachiouche: Has anyone used this to jailbreak an iPhone yet? I'm wondering if since it jailbreaks and makes a custom IPSW that you restore from, will all of my jailbreak features stay intact as they are now, or will I have to reinstall all of my packages?
This is big news for the iPhone and rest of iOS jailbreak/unlock community too. Glad I caught this small post.
Sweet Track.
@GreasyPig: Same here...The only reason I want a Verizon iPhone is to ease the stress on ATTs network so my phone can work well again.
I've always been a big fan of Bike or Die 2. Not the most polished game, and probably not for everyone. But it has constantly kept me entertained since I got it a few years ago. Give it some time to grow on you. I only with a new version with a better level pack downloader more like labyrinth 2's.
@SkipErnst: Would each of the now 6 layers possibly still be 2.5 times thick to conform to the standards? Are the standards that are incompatible for the layers themselves, not the disk as a whole? I'm not quite sure either and don't mean to come off as attacking your statment, just posing a question.
@Tzalaf: You can just use the X at the bottom of the video for that. And its free.
@nystreetfilms: On my d90, Nikon calls its sensor size "DX" which I believe is similar to APS-C. My conversion is 1.5x, so a 50mm lens becomes an 85mm equivalent, etc.
It's hard to tell whether the VO guy was trying to sound like a douche, or if he doesn't realize he's speaking like that.
Slightly off topic, but thanks Mark, for appreciating my sound design skills!
@ProfessionalGun: Yup...Same here. I've gone through probably 8 replacements under warranty. Now my latest pair sits in the drawer and I use them on occasion at the gym.
@Tornadoes28: I agree. But on the other hand, they'd then have to come up with a completely different naming convention for everything. I'm not sure that if they called their products "TV" and "Phone" that would work... I guess "Apple TV and "Apple Phone" would work for me though.
