Yes?

I just started reading “the sellout” and it managed to hook me with the FIRST PARAGRAPH of the PROLOGUE, people. And I usually skip the prologue.

So it’s ... Like a falafel? With tomato sauce? In the shape of a chicken breast? With very few of the things that make falafels good? Wha?

As if I needed *another* reason to love William H Macy.

Maybe it’s because I grew up in suburban Toronto & now live downtown, but there is absolutely nothing redeeming about this disease spreading, aggressive, giant rodents.

Seconded. I find him extremely charming and also like he’d be the friendliest guy in the room and I just want to be best friends with him.

Consider my dreams crushed.

TIMOTHY OLYPHANT IS IN THIS SHOW?!

Ugh. That’s brutal.

Wait, what? There’s a 4 day waiting period?

I’m not going to [maple]sugar coat it; Canada is generally pretty rad.

uhhhmmm, because you should only be having sex for the purposes of procreation, within a heterosexual marriage, not because it’s fun and good for you, ya sluts.

Both. Geographic location is just more of a factor than it may have been before access was restricted.

Man, I have always had good experiences getting Plan B in Canada. In my (sex)lifespan, it’s always been OTC & if you buy it at Shopper’s Drug Mart you earn Optimum (loyalty) points on the purchase! No babies AND money off of another purchase? I high-fived the pharmacist when he told me that.

It boggles my mind that people still seem to think abstinence-only education works/is the ONLY viable option.

ALSO In the Flesh is super depressing but really, really good!!!

Z Nation is a guilty pleasure. It is so ridiculously over the top and, as a result, thoroughly enjoyable.

There’s also a lot of post-colonial resentment in those countries, which doesn’t help. Algeria, Morocco & Tunisa all used to be French colonies (they gained independence in the 50s/60s, and Morocco was split between the French & Spanish).

France has a history of being quite racist/anti Islamic. If memory serves, they have or attempted to have veils banned, and were at the epicentre of the burkini policing this summer.
