These are the people who should talk to their grandparents about dieases like polio, MMR, etc. Almost guanteed they know someone who died or suffered lifelong complications from these diseases before we’d developed vaccines for them.
This. And also, for the small percentage of people who cannot get vaccinated due to a legitimate deadly allergy to one of the components is why it is SO IMPORTANT for anyone who CAN get vaccinated to do it. Without a healthy herd immunity, these people are put at an exponentially higher risk of getting sick and dying.
Probably due in part to his anti-colonial medical internationalism policy, aka “Doctor Diplomacy”.
It might be worth contacting the Toronto PP. They *might* know of a more IUD friendly doctor closer to where you live. Or maybe a clinic that’s self referring? Heck, the teen clinic might even be able to offer some guidance. Or be able to tell you if any of the doctors at the teen clinic have their own…
I also fainted when they put my IUD in. I was told to take some Advil about an hour before to help with the pain (lol).
THIS. I had horrible reactions to oral contraceptives except for Diane 35, which I very begrudgingly came off of at my GPs insistence. Yasmin 21 was the only other OC that didn’t make me need to be hospitalized because I couldn’t stop vomiting. I got into regular arguments with my insurance company and druggist…
My family doctor wanted me to book a consultation with him before referring me to a gyno, who also required I book a consultation before giving me an IUD. The whole process would’ve taken a minimum of 4 MONTHS. This BS was also the final nail in the coffin for me with my previous GP.
I feel like there’s a rom com tv/movie trope where the guy is essentially stalking the girl and they find it endearing instead of fucking terrifying/invasive.
I'm a Brendan Gleason fanatic. If you can get a hold of cavalry, watch it. And be prepared to ugly cry.
It’s incredibly bizarre, sad, and funny. Highly recommend if you like absurdist humour
He's also delightful in The Lobster.
He’s also advocated for gay rights in Ireland (his brother is gay) and just generally seems like a blast to hang around. 😍
I have been resisting the notion that I, as a female in the finance industry, “need” to play golf to advance my career for EIGHT years. I actually have a decent long game (which I discovered because my local batting cage disappeared, so I tried out the driving range and with some instructions from my aunt & uncle, was…
The old walkups along st.clair west still offer the most value for space on the Yonge-Univeristy line. The buildings/kitchens are a bit dated, and you likely won’t get private outdoor space or ensuite laundry, but your unit will likely be a lot bigger than what you could get in a new build.
The waitlists to get into government controlled rental properties is miles long and there’s a huge shortage of community housing rentals available in Toronto. Couple that with the rental crisis in general, and that fact that most of the condos being built are being rented out at exorbitant rates, count your lucky…
No worries!
I was referring specifically to rental searching in Toronto; I’ve never had to look for a rental anywhere other than Guelph or Toronto, so I can’t speak to how effective they are outside of the GTA.
You can raise the rent, but the amount you can raise it is limited/dictated annually. Unless you apply for an above guideline increase, which they do grant, especially if there were major renovations.
Consider getting a realtor to help. It’s free for you and they might be able to find you something you couldn’t otherwise.
