Median income around here is $33K so that’s twice the median income. Personally I think it’s pretty high for an assembly job. The guys and gals making Destroyers at BIW aren’t making that (though they are making more than most any other labor job around here).

A few years ago one of those mid 90's Centurion F250 quad cab conversions came up for sale in beautiful condition for $6k. I had just bought a different truck and didn’t have the cash for it. I have had two trucks since and still regret not finding a way to make that happen.

Can you operate the touchscreen with gloves or is this a car ill-suited for a colder climate?

45K miles on my ‘15 1.0EB and so far... zero issues. The only stories I’ve heard are about the slushbox transmissions being garbage. You deserve that with an auto in a little car.

Even with winter tires and a lead foot I’m still well over 35MPG, but no longer at the 45MPG I was with summer tires.

I don’t think you’re missing anything with MT.

I just don’t understand why manufacturers don’t just sub the nav systems out to one of the many companies that do dedicated GPS systems. They are all (from those I’ve used) well laid out and work relatively seamlessly.

I can always find a star for a Danger 5 reference.

I had a 95 PGT that young me modded in every way to assure getting pulled over daily. That 2.5 V6 was an amazing engine, the only gripe I have is changing the back row of plugs is an absolute nightmare.

The accel times for those cars are all down to the transmission shift times. The DSG will eat them both but be less entertaining behind the wheel (or more if you are that type of person that doesn’t like to row gears, but then why buy this type of car?).

My point isn’t that the Focus RS is making more power than the Subaru (it is) it’s that it’s making more power than the Focus ST that is the next step down.

I think that’s why 500 is the magic number. Studies have shown that’s how many people fit into the “I have a lot of money” and “I’m a sucker for limited shit” bubbles that are also Subaru fans.

In all likelihood that was the single best decision you ever made. Once it stops trying to be a racecar, they’re actually great cars for a very good price.

If you can look at that and still be in a foul mood, then nothing will brighten your day. Grump.

Few too many slots on that squinty/angry/trying-not-to-cry-at-the-inhumanity-of-it-all grill.

I’ll always say it with a silent E for the simple fact that I like to annoy anyone who has one.

If I could find a nice unmolested PGT I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

The person that thought up the name “Nutonomy” probably looked at the “ANUSTART” license plate and didn’t see anything wrong with that either.

“New” as in they’ve had them for 8 model years now.

Trying out some of the imports I’ve found the same issues. I’m the same size/weight and a couple of years younger than you. I wonder if it’s something to do with modern seat design? IMHO the best seats were the old bench seats with cushy backs and springy bottoms. Or Grand Wagoneer bucket seats, those were gorgeous.
