I’ve been pushed in a truck and pushed one in a truck, but that was in snow and the only way we were going to move. 8 hours to unload a semi was considered heroic.

Probably never asked for too.

Well it’s not like he is going to say “This is built better than any of my clients vehicles!” now is it?

Rear steer is terrifying at anything above a slow crawl. We had a Hyster 4WD offroad forklift for some years and that thing could easily go faster than it was safe to drive at on uneven ground.

I’m the idiot with a computer connected to at least one large hi-fi system.

She looks THRILLED to be standing there.

I mean, what’s a spine ever done for me?

NHTSA says no but I say it’s not explicitly forbidden on federal highways (read: YES IT IS but c’mon....).

It’s a funny price point isn’t it? You say that, but looking at a middling example at high 30's low 40's it’s actually not looking so bad. I bet you can grab a low miles lease deal by this time next year for under $400/mo for “well qualified suckers” and all that.

They missed an opportunity to call it an XD is the takeaway.

That red interior. Friggggggggggg. That’s back to the days when companies weren’t afraid of bold colors and as much as I’m not sure I’d pull the trigger on it myself, I LOVE IT.

Had me with the hatch, lost me with the “not for you ‘Murican plebes” nonsense.

I’m just curious what would happen if you have friends or relatives from out of state drop by for a week to visit?

Having had three of those I can attest, if the steering system is factory perfect... it’ll still be terrible. Like “turn a half revolution of the wheel to change lanes at highway speed” terrible.

I’ll give you they changed some things, but it’s not a HUGE difference. The steering wheel is the same, console is the same, they moved the shifter four inches right and added an infotainment system. What used to be square is now round, and what was curved is now squared.

ditto

I love the picture accompaning the description of the seats. A bit of fake wood door card trim. Classic.

I love this. An honest cheap and cheerful car with a stick and enough buzz to leave a smile on your face. These (and other small econoboxes with a stick) are great to buy new. You save a ton of time and money having something that just works and has a warranty. It’s cheap to drive and own and allows you to have a good

I feel like we’ve talked before.

That is literally inches from perfection. The clip, not the car.
