I’ve never once met a person who thought 300 was historically accurate beyond the broad strokes of “300 Spartans held off a superior enemy force for a shockingly long time considering the difference in numbers”, so i’m always confused when people feel the need to dunk on its inaccuracies.

Does sort order not have an effect on that?

The act is problematic because of the history of similar acts. If someone chooses to ignore it because they think their intent gives them an exemption, then they are risking the consequences of that.

Think of it like using the N-slur. The reason its bad to use is that there is an implied attempt to insult a race of people when you use it. The fact that the individual using it isn’t necessarily intending offense is irrelevant. If you don’t want people to think you’re an asshole and a racist, you just don’t do it.

Cosplayers dress as asian characters whose skin tones do not match theirs all the time and I have never seen a single one of them recolor their skin for authenticity of costume. Why is it deemed necessary when they want to cosplay black characters?

Kissinger isn’t universally hated and some would consider it in poor taste.
