I think the weirdest part of the entire controversy was how deciding to watch a movie by its trailer suddenly became unfair. I don’t think the backlash was manufactured, but I do think it was given an amplifier by people who wanted to force that kind of clash to the forefront.

The writer should reference it to provide as full and accurate information as possible. Choosing to not do so and say that Questlove was one of the artists that remained silent is flat out misrepresenting the facts of what has happened here.

Based on the clip title its supposed to be revealing that Diddy and Usher were sleeping together due to Diddy cutting himself off in the middle of saying they used to wake up together.

When action or in this case choice not to act is framed as counter to Legend’s willingness to speak out it creates the perception that the persons cited do not hold the same position.

The issue is this author’s choice to omit the cited reason from one of the people he named because of their refusal to participate in the documentary. The statement from Questlove that explained why he refused to participate came out yesterday afternoon and should have been included or referenced if he felt the need…

I don’t have many issues with Acosta’s casting, but the casting of an actress her age creates other issues that the show hasn’t really handled well. Like Molly feeling like shes written at her comic age when she looks like a 16 year old.

Yes. Allegra Acosta’s changes are quite noticeable. It makes their casting/adaptation choices for Molly seem even worse because they had to know that someone her age would still be growing. It doesn’t really help the problem when half of her lines feel like they were written for a younger actress.

I think the thing I enjoyed most was how one-sided the fight with Tina was. Having her try to bash Karolina’s head in with the staff was too far though. Even if she only cares about her kid, it wouldn’t make sense for her to risk pissing Jonah or whatsherface off.

Ear of the beholder. Neither of those lines came off as clunkers to me, but Chase’s line came close until Gert’s follow up joke.
