I do not see why a 24 year old Subaru would be worth 8k? It is in great shape, but still.

Not worth 8K.

No Dice.

It would need to be closer to $3K. There are LOTS of these still around, being an unmolested N/A Forester with an auto transmission isn’t that special... the only thing that makes this one stand out is that it hasn’t really been used the way it’s supposed to (which is kind of shame, really).

I was going back and forth on this. I thought it was priced high, but then thought, it’s probably a stick and others will go crazy for it. But then I saw the Auto. No Dice!

But where’d he get water? You can only last a few days without water.

ICE cars catch fire at a higher rate than EVs do.  So there’s that.

This is a weird article. It has a peculiarly flip tone, but only in the ten percent that isn’t references to other sites or other Jalopnik articles. And there’s that weird “set on fire” line. Did an AI write this? You guys already got dragged once for having AI write your stuff without disclosing it. One would hope

Love the interplay of fabric, textures, colors. Also- column shifters need to become a thing again. A shift lever or buttons or a dial in the center console is just a stupid waste of space. I get that people will lament the passing of manual transmissions in all cars, but I’m onboard with regen flippers on EVs. To me

Nice

Putting the Imola in immolation.

Its an Italy thing.

The only car I have ever seen catch fire was an Alaska-plated Ferrari F40 being hooned at Montauk Airport by an obviously extremely wealthy Frenchman. He let me get near enough with my camera to get some shots but then his temper rose (he said Rrrogntudjuuuu”) and it was requested that I leave.

While filling the Italian supercar, presumably with premium gas

Yet another cool French EV that will not be sold here in the US.

I thought self immolation was a Lamborghini thing

right. after 20+ consecutive years of vw ownership, i can’t just be lucky. the unreliable reputation of old doesn’t seem to apply these days.

Still learning English, I see.

I wonder if the owner knew of the fire risk, and if he splurged $50 earlier to buy a fire extinguisher.

That cloth seat option is pretty slick

on the radio: my dad passed away exactly 6 months ago today and his favorite song was The Thrill is Gone. Miss you Dad!

Also, Tavares might finally be right about something.
