Some of the other tech protests I could understand, yes you might not want the work you are doing to be used by as a weapon of war. But in this case this is the CEO holding a personal event not related to work. This doesn’t violate the company’s “Leave you politics at the door” stance.

I like to think the other way around. A gently used car like this is, while still practically new, no longer a garage queen. It’s now meant to be used and enjoyed. I won’t feel as bad some jabroni invariably put a door ding or two on it.
