Yeah, I fucking loved that shot. About the only thing I liked the final two episodes of GoT.

I think at the time his hypocrisy was the problem—had Diana filmed herself doing, say, an aria from Traviata or Gianni Schicci, or performing a Shakespearean monologue, he would’ve been less of a shit about the video. Because to his way of thinking those pursuits are “clearly” superior to a song from Phantom.

The season ended in Christmas of 1990 which was when Fergie and Andy were already having significant difficulties. The press loved Diana but even though they initially treated Jolly Hockey Sticks pretty well, they turned on her with a vengeance when she—gaspput on weight. (To be fair, Fergie gave them plenty of

Mark Phillips was the butt of some jokes—supposedly his nickname was “London Fog” because he was thick and wet. However I believe he scored some points for turning down a title (which was a decision made by both him and Anne).

Complete smokeshow. Like a Viking god. It’s easy to imagine a young Elizabeth falling hard for him.

Thank you for this very informed write up about Thatcher and her downfall. I know a lot about the BRF but very little about British politics so this is helpful.

It was adorable. You’d think Charles, who used to perform Shakespeare, would be able to appreciate her love of performing, how she uses the words of others to express herself. What a massive prick to mock her like that, when she is trying so hard.

    What. The. Actual. Fuck.

OMG re: the “just asking questions”—a former FB friend kept posting the most ridiculous “plandemic” crap back in June complete with questionable YouTube links and would end every such post with “makes ya think!” Yes, it makes me think you’ve lost your ability to think critically. People have lost their goddamn minds

God knows, I am Team Diana and always have been—but at this point, Charles and Camilla are together, they’re happy, they were clearly meant to be together and most importantly, the boys seem to be fine with it. If they still resented her it would be different but from everything I’ve read, that isn’t the case. (I will

I’m either a summer or winter (pink-skinned blue-eyed blonde). But I love to wear orange because it makes my eyes pop.

    YES HE WAS

    And his apparent eating disorder.

Great sequence. I loved how they did the actual cover art for the original novels (I always wish they’d done more of the novels--I think they only adapted one, The Mystery of the Flickering Torch) with the faces of Parker Stevenson and Shaun Cassidy.

I feel like it holds up!!! I rewatched one of my favorite episodes, that weird one when Joe woke up in a hospital and was told he’d been in a coma for a year (but that wasn’t TRUE--he figured it out when he smelled the perfume that had been spilled on his shirt). Still fun and watchable.

    Holy SHIT

the cosmetics company “Lush” have been secretly funding anti-trans groups

Was he really?! Did not know that.

Yeah, why would the reboot keep the door open for him? He is disgusting, absolutely no one wants to see him (least of all the viewers) and it would erase all the goodwill the reboot has garnered by being an actually good and funny series.

Manson had an eye for damaged souls (Squeaky Fromme had a terrible relationship with her father) and zeroed in on them. But wasn’t Van Houten also a Homecoming queen/princess in high school?
