I was an elementary school student in Fort Langley from 1977-78. At the time, it was a pretty rural area - I remember a visiting public health nurse asking, nervously, if we had running water in our homes. The schools featured in the Langley Music Project were pretty rural, too - that whole area started getting built

Ive never had 12 plus drinks with someone from Langley who didn't challenge me to a fight or insult my mother in terrible French.

Yeah, no way was this a C+ episode. I don’t even know why this reviewer bothers. I thought it was one of the better episodes this season and a clever look at both “holodeck” addiction, the loneliness of Morgan and the ingenious way at how the computer created an AI from the iPhone. The “B” story was also hilarious and

I mean, after Bortus breaks the holodeck and the whole ship with bootlegged group sex porn I feel like all bets are off with simulator stuff, although I feel like this would be common territory for long range space military ships. Like, the dangers of fake relationships and porn addiction in the simulator would be

Aye. There’s every bit as much room for epic space adventure on a show like this as there is time to slow down and examine ourselves.

My turd heart grew three sizes that day I read your comment.

Yeah stories like this get me good. Although I haven’t seen nearly enough Trek to make that comparison.

Have you never seen ‘The Visitor’?

The reviewer has a turd for a heart. I thought this was a touching episode. It grew Gordon’s character further as a lonely soul, of which we’ve had hints previously.

I thought this packed in more humanity than any version from the Star Trek franchise.

It’s an aluminum case, carried in your back pocket where items are prone to bending. That’s just fucking stupid.

Keep a lithium battery in my back pocket.

It was only a matter of time. You can’t see Gunn do the first movie without expecting him to pop back up in the third.

Can we talk about the girl power on display in this show and this episode in particular?

Dafuq? I enjoyed this show. It was a blast to the 80s past. That style of sitcom. And it was written well. And had strong characters.

I’m beginning to think the AV Club in general is just unfit to review anything. They gave Captain Marvel a C and Batman v Superman a C-. Seriously, in what universe is Batman v Superman 1.) only a minus less than Captain Marvel (a legitimately fun and enjoyable movie, if not Marvel’s best) and 2.) How did it even get

Yes, the FBI just learned of that distinction also...luckily just in time.

PediMom. Not the be confused with PedoMom.

Damn, dude. This wins top comment for all of Season 2.

Why are long form mysteries woven into a series seen as such a negative now? Would Twin Peaks get a C+ because they wouldn’t reveal who killed Laura Palmer by episode 3?

I think they have a lot of on Fred Waterford, enough that would get him hanging from a wall. So, they come up with a story that he backs up. He basically becomes their prisoner in way. Do what they say or he forfeits his life. How they explain the disappearance of the baby without a crap tonne of people getting
