@Zinger314: Type ca.kotaku.com in the quantcast search for extra lulz. I would post the pic myself but its a pain on my phone.

"Played a hero character to level 28 and a villain to level 10"

As a complete mmo Noob, the biggest thing I've had to come to appreciate is that the game starts at level 30. The mission threads out in the city are fun, but the best gear, the most fun missions, the raids and the duos are not even available until then.

@MrMrScott: actually, gears of war with a massive story that encourages multiple playthroughs, deep, interesting characters, wild, fun powers, rpg type character progression and unique classes to play sounds like the greatest game ever. But I will settle for game of the year.

@Wolfbullet: The GOTY award was delayed to give everyone a chance to play the nominated games.

@wocalax: Thats a bit too general to warrant a rebuttal. I cant think of a single story-oriented action game that couldnt be broken into similarly simple terms.

@Freakazoidberg: Seriously. When I saw the list, I had to go look up the GoW 3 review to see if there was some kind of disappointment or hatred I dont remember. There wasnt.

@Luke Plunkett: Wow that is an extremely fine hair to split on a site like this. How about hands on impressions? Eyes on? New content reveals? If those arent news its hard to imagine what is on Kotaku and they are all subject to embargo as well.

@Batman: this is exactly what I was wondering.

@UsernameOfTheDead: Really? You are such a hardcore Nintendo fan that you cant wrap your mind around the fact that there are people out there who arent into the motion-centric Wii games in general, or the lousy online functionality? Everyone MUST accept and enjoy the Nintendo version of gaming because thats what

If anyone can help me out here, please tell me how you know if a commercial is one of the "most popular." Because its shown often? No, that just means the company paid to have it shown often, obviously.

"It can be said on Japanese television bleep-free."

If someone is so pressed for time throughout the course of their week that they really treasure the time savings between reading these new reviews and the old ones, then it's very difficult to imagine why they are reading Kotaku at all.

"I note that eight of the top 20 are either sports titles or demos, including the FIFA 11 demo at No. 5 and, notably, the Pro Evolution Soccer Demo at No. 19"

@jackslackofselfrespect: Yes, they also run around with turn of the century weapons - as in the 20th century. Shotguns, semi auto pistols, machine guns, etc. This has always been a really weak part of halo fiction, but its also a very small one, and necessary to make the games more fun.

@emag: that has to be the most detailed review of a one level demo I have ever seen. The game made enough of an impression to inspire you to type all that, but not enough to throw down ten bucks to see if the rest holds up or improves?

@Maritan: Seriously. I love Halo and am rabidly looking forward to Reach, but if it has as many "go out the way you came in" levels as the other games, that will be a huge letdown. I always chalked it up to saving disc space. Not sure if thats the case or not, but if it is, looking at all of the MP stuff they are

@Platypus Man: For me it depends on what they are. The SMG from the Kasumi mission is incredible, and its all I use now. If its a game changer like that then bring it on. But I agree all of the costumes released so far have been 100% lame.
