@mindsale: You probably didnt give it enough of a chance. That sentence you parroted from every article ever may be true, but the total result is a lot of fun, and the character designs and animation are brilliant, esecially later in the game. Playing through the demo or checking it out at a friends house really

@Koda89: I was going to reply that there cant possibly be people stupid enoughto buy a game for a beta key and then not use it. However, after listening to the people with whom I played War for Cybertron this afternoon, I am unfortunately aware that there are a great many people exactly that stupid. And they all

@Koda89: I think it gained more attention on its own than you give credit for. Bungie said only 850K ish people played the Halo 3 beta. And thats total, including all the other ways people got in besides Crackdown.

@Mezodon: I think many people saying that are like me and have played 100+ hours of Borderlands, and seen a scant few screenshots of this game which will be released some time in the distant future. I'm sticking with Rage reminding me of Borderlands.

@kearneybobs: Alright I came back for more. Anyone who doesn't like it Kasumi. Or just Goto hell.

@Kyosuke_Nanbu: A-freaking-men. Its my all time favorite game. Year and a half later, I'm still loving it, and still rolling my eyes at the same snarky hatred that is recycled (by the reporters and commenters) every time it's mentioned on Kotaku.

A fun read, but it seems strange to bash good games because they didn't live up to the hype, when Kotaku is largely responsible for that hype.

The marketing for this game is fantastic. Effective, too! I'm sure any publisher would jump at the chance to pay $200.00 for a Kotaku post (with video!) about their game.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I cant find the picture above, or the shots of Bertone's home set up in the gallery that is linked.

@hippo24: Its unfortunate that one attention starved dude (who writes on a game blog that you probably never thought about until he spewed this crap) has so much influence over your purchasing decision. If the game looks great and you want to buy it, then buy it. Otherwise the only Batman games we will get from now

@KillerBee: The nail on the head right there. The one and only purpose of reviews is information, as far as I'm concerned. They are nothing more than the logical conclusion of an outlet's game coverage.

@Dead Giveaway: I hate the achievements that reward play for team based multiplayer. Try, just TRY to get in a legit game of FEAR 2 right now. Its impossible, just a bunch of morons trying to get achievements.

@Silverbackne: I think it's a cool idea. It's not Kotaku's fault that these companies wasted the opportunity by spewing press releases.
