What engine does your impala have? I have a 2001 Monte Carlo with the 3800 SII about to hit 90K (probably this weekend).

It would be slower and that’s against everything the current (outgoing and incoming) GT-R is about.

Interesting. Do the 1.6's get extra boost to level the field?

They’re probably running 2+ bars of boost in extremely built up 4 cylinders. Someone (Tanner Foust?) has a WRC spec Fiesta sans intake restrictor that makes something like 900hp.

Does GRC use 2.0 or 1.6 liter turbo-4's? Because if Honda has to develop a 1.6T then there’s a certain unloved hatchback in need of a Type R badge of it’s own.

You do understand that it is more expensive to make a 100hp/liter NA motor that revs >8K than an incrementally updated seldom maintained grocery getter motor do you not? Honda has a 150hp 1.5 turbo motor in a heavier car.

I bet they didn’t track their car for 15 minutes on stock fluids.

A VW DCT took more abuse than the automatic transmission in the current mustang.

“As someone who may or may not have outrun the cops before, (it may or may not have been in a Miata, too) the ‘can’t beat Motorola’ spiel is a myth. A normal police chase is just a race to the next exit or intersection.”

Good luck landing you aerial imbecile. Meanwhile, they see me rolling, they hatin’...

Enjoy replacing your death traps that wear and need to be replaced every 1000 miles. I’ll never have to replace these in this lifetime:

That’s shit advice. With a little effort, research and legwork you can get 2x the used car for the price of the new car without getting screwed. But sure, go ahead and spend 15 grand on a base model economy car. You’re the smart one here.

But it still has a roundel so it’s Bavarian enough for any badge snob.

I don’t think the wet conditions bode well for mid-engined cars against front engined ones.

That was my thought process when I saw it was only 8k. I’m not even sure I could source a roller X5, LS motor, turbo and IC + piping and suspension + tires for 10k let alone the work.

IIRC that douche only owns yellow cars but 9/10 for the joke.

According to wikipedia the first race cars were LeMans cars, the Porsche 956 and 962 followed by the S1 Quattro in the article and the first series production road car with a DCT was the 2003 Volkswagen Golf mk4 R32.

Rotary starlet is total CP. 81 Rolla might be NP with a translation, looks like it’s got a built 10-to-1 compression turbo motor.

“Big” (4000cc+) V6 of I6 beats a small V8 for low down torque.

Of course it does. It has nearly 2x the horsepower and real tires.
