You’ve never driven a (relatively) large motor I take it? It’s a totally different kind of torque. I say this as someone with a 8600rpm 4-cylinder in one of two cars. The other has a (relatively) large displacement motor because torque. Trust me on this.

It’s about how you look at torque. For me displacement and the low down torque it brings is what I mean when I say a motor has or lacks torque. For an actual driving car that isn’t going to see 5252+ rpm all the time a rotary is awful. The GTI has a ton more low and mid range torque than a hypothetical 1.0 rotary.

You know that rotaries don’t make much torque right? If you compare the 13b to a hypothetical 2.6 4-cylinder you’re missing a lot of torques.

Somebody photoshopped in some torque.

So that’s what a miata with 400 ft/lbs looks like.

Riff Raff is so fly that when he does something stupid it makes white AND black people look bad.

The aventador ought to naturally be prone to oversteer owing to it’s MR layout and weight distribution but with 600+ HP, power oversteer is significantly easier than weight transfers and with a skilled driver can be more consistently reproduced.

You don’t know what under steer is then. If it power oversteers on command then it’s safe to say the car won’t understeer unexpectedly.

Mazda is too small to take risks especially developing an engine. That’s why they’re partnering with Toyota after just splitting with Ford and why the MZR and 2.3 Ecoboost are basically the same engine.

You think Mazda can engineer a TT V6 for the miata chassis and sell it for less than the 124 Abarth will likely cost?

Abarth 124 with the 1.7 from the 4C wouldn’t be enough for you?

For competitive purposes rotaries are considered 2x their displacent so I’m looking for a 7.8l motor that makes 560 ft/lbs.

Fiat 126 ditch drop

Insert “So that’s what 300 ft/lb looks like from a rotary” jokes.

Put a significantly smaller diameter (2.25,2.5,3”) and you won’t:

OK, now give it to Chris Harris, Tiff Needell, Tanner Foust and anyone else of note for some sideways V12 action.

The mazdaspeed3 looks like an angry mazda 3.

Rosemeyer = Veyron.

Twinrun has a tubular steel frame chassis to go with that 320 HP it’s a concept but I would wager it’s closer to 2000 than 3000 With the running gear from Godzilla the Juke-R weighs over 3200lbs. The juke-r might still have a better power/weight ratio but I bet it wouldn’t lap much (if any) faster than a Twinrun if
