How is this disturbing?
We're in Bryant's district (joy oh joy), so we signed Olivia's petition early on. We're thrilled that she won!
As a resident of South Carolina, I can assure you that most 8 year olds are smarter than the good senator. Google the man if you doubt me.
TL;DR an 8 year old is smarter than Senator Kevin L. Bryant
I'm hoping Washington chooses something out of Dune, myself. Something like "Fear is the mindkiller".
For example you can feed fish instead of fish meal (currently used) with plant proteins. However the amino acid profile is not ideal and the plants have anti-nutritional substances. Insect meal has proven to be an excellent replacement for fishmeal.
bouncy castle rules: no shoes !
Absolutely.
I'll bite. Define "video-gamey" and what aspects of D&DNext meet these traits?
I did, it's a nice balance taking the handful of good things from 4th edition and rolling it back in to a mix of 2nd and 3rd edition rules. It is actually a lot more like Star Wars Saga Edition rules in some ways with HD operating as Force Dice to a point. The spell and power system is a total roll back and feats…
I'm running a game right now using the last version of the rules and I can say I don't feel that way at all (and I walked away from D&D and moved to Pathfinder over the last edition).
My group has been playing for over a year with only the playtest rules. If you can't play for two months with only the Players Handbook I weep for you.
As someone still playing the playtest, this is a baffling comment. The game is quite literally a stripped down version of 3.5 in almost every single way. I can't think of anything about it that feels more "video gamey" than 3.5
My group is still playing the playtest rules. It is very much a stripped to the bones version of 3.5 with better math/balance, better multiclassing (especially for casters), and nice character building/background options.
Am I the only person who didn't abjectly hate 4E? You just have to realize that it wasn't really a role-playing game, it's more of a tactical strategy game, akin to final fantasy tactics. In fact, I'm massively surprised and annoyed that no one bothered to convert it to a FF tactics style video game...
I'm still extremely skeptical this will work. For three reasons:
Did anyone here do the play tests? I received the emails but never tried it out (I've since been on greener pastures with Savage Worlds). As far as the rules go, I've heard that they've gone in the direction of being much less crunchy than before, or at least being modular to the point that you can add more rules as…
Odd, I thought it felt like (especially in the later playtest versions, which were WILDLY different from the early ones) a halfway mix of AD&D2-PlayerOption with 3.5E.
But more fun than either.
Apparently, that gym pic was for Zero Dark Thirty? so he's bounced from this flag trunks on the beach, to gym selfie, back to flabby/beach bod:
