Ms. Mckinley was so gracious to me as an impressionable 12 year old. I've saved her typewritten replies to my fan letters in my most precious possessions. She is not only a great writer, she is also a lovely person. Read the Blue Sword too, I think I like it even better now than The Hero and the Crown.

How's that fabulous post-operative infection going to go? Nothing's sexier than oozing surgical wounds.

AWW! I love how all the kids get included in the celebration.

I remember Star Wars being awesome and making my mom put my hair up in Leia buns while I flew the Millennium Falcon. Whatever, I want them to be able to ask any bloody, crappy or painful questions they can because rainbows and unicorn dust DID NOT pour out of my distended vagina.

@elephantom: He held my foot when I split open like a bag of Cheetos, so he was in no hurry to experience that again.

After having a child I decided that I too am afraid of pregnancy and that only one kid was a great idea for me. I was a horrible pregnant woman. Everything that could swell, leak, get false -positive tested or go wrong did.

@eri401: Makes sense from what I've seen so far. That's a terrifying and brilliant film that should have a larger audience.

@Delilah: Exactly. Let's go ask the female rugby players what they think of the "Oh no! The girls might get hurt!" argument. Any time you play a contact sport you take a risk and in my personal experience the seventh and eighth grade girls' basketball teams play harder and dirtier than their male counterparts of
