We had TWO all you can eat sushi places in Davis. We would ruin them. RUIN THEM.

Not really... I live in SF and there are several places that have $1 sushi - mostly in Japan Town, but theres one in the Financial District, and one On Dolores/Church that I go to all the time (Dol/Chu is 2$ a plate and up). None of it's bad and they are always packed with people.

Actually due to the low price of fish and the high volume 1$ / serving for sushi has a 60 - 80% + margin of profit. The lack of servers in this place coupled with the costs of electricity / mantenance probably means that they take in $.75 for every dollar spent - and we havent event broached the cost of other items…
