Interesting that Mustang/Camaro didn’t make this list. I got mine (2013 Mustang GT with the awesome 5.0L V8) for about $20K, eats up highway miles and is loads of fun at my local tracks. I’d budget for tires and brakes, but otherwise is definitely fantastic and the sky is the limit (read: an absurd amount of aftermarke

I’ve read this book twice. the second time I was choking back tears in Utah while I was on a roadtrip with my wife and her family. Enzo is the best boy.

Currently listening to it as an audiobook, I’m definitely not disappointed I used one amazon credit to get this audiobook.

My wife and I paid off our cars early back in June so we can focus on my student loans when we have to go back to paying them. When that is I don’t know but it seems like a lot of people might have a heavy burden ahead of them.

I had a 1990 BMW 325i that had a 4.10 LSD. It was so much fun to drive around Mulholland that I regret selling it to move out to Michigan. I took my WRX that lasted one half of a michigan winter before it took a shit. I should have just leased a base Fiesta and moved out here with my e30.

GMC Jimmy. There were many things wrong with it from the door falling off when you try to open it, to the whole car shutting off momentarily when you went over the slightest road imperfection. My dad bought it for 300 and luckily that’s what we got for it when we dropped it off at the junkyard. I think we held onto it

I haven’t driven many tracks, though I’ve always had a blast at Grattan in Michigan. I’ve driven Nurburgring and was going to throw that up here as a favorite, but I was both too slow to navigate the track and I only ever got one lap in. I’d love to put Laguna Seca up, stopped there as a pit stop on the way up to

Before I moved to Michigan, I did a daily commute from El Segundo to Simi Valley for 2 months. I hated the commute, I hated the job, and I hated how I couldn’t find anything reasonably close to friends/family.

omaha is cute, but the rest of nebraska is an absolute chore to drive through.

More MT-82 garbage.

4th gear: Of course they’d want to sell conversion kits for their 90s and 00s shitboxes since they probably made so many of them the volume makes sense. The only problem is a lot of them are currently sitting in junkyards or already crushed into cubes :/

I’m too cheap for DLCs :(

How will Karen brag about how she overpaid for her Chevy Equinox?

It’s weird for me because I want something faster than what I currently have (Currently a 2013 Mustang GT.) I think I might go through cars on average of once every year and a half now, though none have been as pricey as my current car which I might hold onto for at least 5 years. My wife’s car on the other hand (2019

I self-imposed a 20K budget on myself so I ended up getting an S197 Mustang instead of an S550 Mustang. It’s a 2013, but I really wish I would’ve told myself to splurge another 5K for a newer option with the track package.

5th gear: I’d like newer EVs to have Nissan Leaf levels of depreciation. Until then I can’t afford one that I’d want.

Can’t take em off if they’re not on in the first place.

Easy work around: Start taking your clothes off while yelling at the top of your lungs you’re not buying a car. Either they give you keys back because they don’t want to deal with you, or they call the cops. At which point you should definitely put your clothes back on and tell the officers they were holding your

To police officers in Texas: Please, for the love of god, do your fucking job.
