It’s not the singular trip, it’s the trips over time and repeated daily driving that adds up. While I’m not suffering, many are -- budget constraints are quite real for a lot of people.

It’s effectively $2/L up here, north of the border, for regular 87 octane with up to 10% cornohol in the mix and I am driving as little as possible. (The weird thing is the 91 octane with no grain booze I put in my bikes is only about $0.07 more per liter.)
