I have the Ninja 400 as my daily rider (same engine and much the same bike) and, as much as I loathe highway riding, have put several thousand kms of tarmac under my ass on it - it gets to speed just fine and is incredibly comfortable. An added bonus is that it costs virtually nothing to insure.
