Yeah, it's kind of a pain knowing no matter what I name my kid it will end up on some list, being mocked for being too "something". Then again, once I decide to reproduce I'm hoping I won't give a shit about that sort of thing. Ruby is a great name.
Ahhh, fair enough. I appreciate the clarification, my dear.
I think you're making incredibly valid points, and have piqued my interest in something that otherwise sounded like a load of garbage to me. Merci.
Is there no book? I was not aware! I assumed Cormac McCarthy - book - then movie. My bad!!
A lot of the commenters who are familiar with the book and/or movie are definitely making the point that her act wasn't one of unbridled female sexual confidence, but more of a weird cuckolding thing where she was asserting her actual power, not necessarily the power of her lady bits and her confidence in them.
Admittedly I haven't read the book, but it says a lot (to me, at least) if the smartest character is a woman who uses her sexuality against people as an "evil" means to an end.
Yeah, that's just sociopathic and creepy. Your actors should be able to trust you, even if they don't like you as person.
From the interview with the actresses:
Some of the most memorable moments in my Barbie past: When my Aladdin and Jasmine Barbies decided to see other people. When a redheaded Barbie moved to town. The horrible Camper-Corvette pileup of '95. Dissecting one with a science kit I acquired one Christmas.
I adore Busy Phillips' manicure. I wish I had some sweet nail-painting skills.
So I can eat it? I agree.
Usually I don't, but this particular commenter is skeeving me out, and drawing attention to them is the only way I can foresee them being banned. I miss troll-patrol.
Didn't I tell you to shut up, Terry? Man, you just don't listen.
Yeah, hustler don't play that game. No thanks, TSA.
Shut up, Uncle Terry.
I have the urge to watch rugby for some reason now. Excuse me.
