I posted this on another thread, but I think a lot of it bears repeating. The justification for tearing down these statues lies in the reality of the Confederacy and how it began.

Ironically, this new version of the statue is a more accurate representation of the historical Confederacy, at least before the end of Reconstruction.

People who hate Sansa but love Arya are just falling victim to the sexist “cool girl” narrative. Arya is the Westeros version of the girl that loves pizza and beer and sports.
