Really special car for it’s time. As I’ve said before, the only issue I see is inboard brakes. That said, if I didn’t live in a city, I would have this car stashed somewhere pissing off my neighbors.

I really have very little desire to own a classic car. I love to look at them, but I love the way > ‘80 cars drive. 240's are one of the few exceptions. Great find. Extra points for a rust-pron example in Michigan. Only thing more remarkable would be a Canadian 914.

I had one, an S. It was quick enough. The super low seating position and heavy steering made it feel quicker than it was and involving. The skinny tires let the rear brake loose fairly easily. That said, personally, I wouldn’t pay more than $5k for the experience. If $15k is your budget, 944 Turbo all day long.

Easy...93 RX-7. $15K on the nose

The only thing that keeps me away from these cars are the in-board brakes. Just seems like a big pain to me. Aside from that, I’ve always wanted one.

Here in Brooklyn, a garage spot is about $100 - $150 more than my lease. I pay $25 / mo to cover scratches and small dents on my Q5. I’ll stick w/ the street for now.

Same reason I picked up the Q5.

The Q3 is in a tough spot. My wife and I were looking at the Q3 to replace our 05 WRX wagon, as we have a child and needed more space. We wanted something that would hold our suitcases but also easily fit in parking spaces ( we live in Brooklyn ). We ended up with a base Q5 instead. Our lease is $350 / mo with 10k

Any modern TVR

Easy, Bud (Harry Dean Stanton) form Repo Man

I also think it was one of the few cars in the last 20+ years built on principle.

How in the world can this list not have the FD RX-7 yet have a that pig of a Mitsubishi?

A friend an I were blown over one lane on the highway, while crossing a bridge. The car must weigh less than a ton.

still better than the Bruce variant.

2005 WRX = Great

I think we need to define the difference between GT and "big sports car". The 850 buyer may also consider an XJS, 928, but probably not a Stealth TT.

Why doesn't Jalopnik just get Harry Metcalfe on staff? You guys just wait a few months for everyone to forget Evo Diaries / Harry's Garage and then post as it were your obscure finding.

When I was younger, I was speeding down the PA Turnpike, trailing a friend in another car (a beautiful R1), going to an RX-7 meetup. He was doing 125, I was just a bit behind him (3/4 car length), in the next lane.
