During my stint in the Navy I was a technician for an aircraft called affectionately “The Hoover” (a S3 Viking) it had two very large Pratt and Whitney engines attached to it that had the same safe distance.

Maybe it’s because I’m a “filthy poor” but I’ve NEVER understood throwing or breaking a controller. Even when my lizard brain gets angry my logical brain screams “THAT’S A $70 MISTAKE, PLACE THE CONTROLLER ON THE TABLE AND TAKE A BREAK DIPSHIT!”

You do realize that the platform is completely irrelevent and as long as people keep saying and doing stupid shit (which is until we go extinct btw) there will be someone reporting on whatever stupid shit was done/said, right?

LOL - I like that. But make it MUCH bigger. And really, really hard to remove. Like inspection stickers that come apart into little shreds if you try to remove them.

Somebody like GM should go by Alpha Motors. Their 2 door light pickup prototype is gorgeous.

Discharge a firearm in your neighborhood, intentionally wounding someone (if you hit them at all). Possibly killing them, or sending a missed round off into a neighbor’s house. All because they were running off with your Amazon box full of deodorant or whatever.

No doubt about that. As you wander the roads of the US, pay a little attention to the license plates on semi-trailers. An INSANE number of them are registered in little ol’ Maine - hundreds of thousands of them. Super cheap, and super easy, and the state makes bank on it annually. It’s the Montana of semi-trailers. No

I lived in CA for 6 years with a WA registered vehicle.

IIRC, it didn't pass committee

This doesn't remove the engines from the road just displaces them to neighboring states

“At the moment, Wyoming has all of 330 EVs registered in the entire state.”

The only thing luxurious about a Tesla is the price.

CAFE and tax credit rules (cars, SUVs) have been a hot mess for decades.

Doing by the size of one Doug DeMuro, the Ioniq 5 definitely looks quite a bit larger than the Golf. Roof height at mid-torso versus shoulders. But yeah sure, the Hyundai is not as tall as a Land Rover Defender 90 (though it is longer)

It’s not the Escape’s fault. Manufacturers have been escaping(no pun intended) regulations for years by making everything be qualified as an SUV by meeting the minimum qualifications for what a SUV is, and one of them is approach angles and weight. Unfortunately having a 4x4 setup ISN’T one of those qualifications. Loo

That’s fair!

There are so many Greats in DS9 episode.

 I miss Rene :(

I’m positive his family very much enjoyed all of the time and experiences they got to share with him. Time and experiences afforded by his dangerous lifestyle. Not saying it makes the loss any less crushing, but I don't think his family would view the circumstances as "totally preventable", it was part of who he was
