Unlike Xzibit.

If we made a safety feature that zapped the living shit out of any driver after they make a mistake that could kill somebody I might actually support that being a standard feature, or required for teenage drivers or a court ordered device like a breathalyzer. No zaps for bullshit like just doing 10mph over the speed

Eh... that’s fair. Still, all the electronics in the world can’t fix stupid.

I’d be happy if autonomous vehicles were actually better at driving in mor conditions than just sunny, dry, and free of construction or emergency vehicles.

A bunch of these idiots don’t care about red lights and cannot bring to bare enough braincells to figure out how a roundabout works and these researchers think another light color is going to improve things. Never underestimate the power of stupid people.

Yo Dawg...

* to me.

Just because you like something doesn’t mean others should. This is why I advocate for options on cars, something lost to the dustbin of history at this point.

Lol, my problem with Tesla’s has very little, not nothing but very little, to do with Elon. The Ikea minimalist interiors, the infotainment-first controls, ADAS-is-LIFE design, insufferable stereotypical owners that I don’t want to be associated with...

Honestly, I like the body styling of the 3 and S... but I’ll shit

Cool... this is for the rest of us that don’t want a Tesla.

Features I would rather have on my phone than a giant tablet infotainment system that I can’t upgrade.

Yeah, I had to take mine again at 37 (long story) and the only difficult part was remembering to use two hands on the steering wheel. I’ve driven stick most of my life and I don’t use my right hand for steering. I spent a lot of my formative years on the highway going back and forth to horse-shows and we always used

It also highlights how important it is to teach people not just how to squeak by when taking the driving exam (that is already completely insufficient to prove drivers have the skills necessary to operate a vehicle safely), but also to teach Driving Etiquette.

It seems many drivers are either too stupid or too lazy to be bothered to learn what the lights on their dash mean.

I suspect that most of those vehicles are using those lights for both fog and DRL, and in either case your headlights are probably off if you can actually notice the difference. I wish OEMs would only turn either of them on if your headlights are set to either On or Auto, and kill them in any other position to remove

Huh?

I feel like I’d report it as a manufacturer defect to the NHTSA.

Yeesh. I can understand no adaptive cruise control (even prefer it) but no actual cruise control? Nah, count me out. The only way I’m driving a civilian vehicle again without it is if it’s a motorcycle (my current bike does not have CC) or something I built myself.

I’ll applaud the dismissal of the top sheet. I’ve been trying to convince my wife that top sheets are stupid but I have not won that battle either. Not sure how I feel about having two duvets/comforters though... I like a lot of blanket, so I generally go with a king-sized on a queen-sized bed.

Exactly. I believe people that like duvets fall into one of two categories:
1) They like it because they can just wash the cover instead of the whole thing which can be difficult to fit in some washing machines, or
2) They like it because it’s French.

looking at the owner’s manual now... So essentially you’ve got three headlight intensities, DRL/Low/High. That’s dumb. Toyota does some dumb shit with lights. I’m still pissed that I had to fix the OEM tail lights on my 2020 Taco because Toyota decided that the third-gen should have red rear turn signals instead of
