That is drop dead sexy. I wish I was rich.

Screw that, if I had one I would daily it just because I’m a glutton for punishment.

Probably the 2014 Ford Focus I got as a loaner when my Mazda3 had to have a dash-out repair years ago. I’ve never had a car seem to argue with me about my throttle inputs. Like, “Are you sure you want that much throttle? Here you go. Wait, no that can’t be right. You shouldn’t need that much, I’ll take that back. Why

The only way that low-hanging fruit gets taken care of is if somebody like you starts pressuring their state to do something about it. Your argument totally makes sense, but nothing is going to change because of a Jalopnik comment.

As long as they base it on their existing platform, the CVT issue could be fixed. From what I understand most of the underpinnings for their cars are quite modular, so you could probably swap in a 6-speed and/or swap out the motor and some electronics and be giggling.

Other than the Subaru Baja, as @huja suggested, none. Especially none with any notoriety. They’d just take whatever name they chose and slap it on yet another fucking crossover.

Into my car? Hell, they can’t convince me to let Alexa into my life.

I’ve seen an Ioniq 5 in the flesh... and holy shit is that front clip worse in person than in photos, and it’s already shit in photos.

Hmm, interesting thought. I would actually consider paying more to buy a version of a given car with no remote connectivity other than bluetooth and wireless key fob. Actually, there’s quite a few features I would pay more to delete.

RE: #1, in that video it’s a drill bit, not a screw. I really recommend not using a drill bit, as the video shows, because of the cork chunks that will come off when you break through the end of the cork. If you do use a screw instead (recommended), make sure you put a washer on it first so that you have something to

Sure buddy... Let me just put this on the ever increasing list of outlandish promises we’re supposed to believe with no history of delivering on them in a timely manner.

Should’ve got the stick shift version. Other than the half-assed brakes the stick version doesn’t have most of the issues of the auto and it’s a surprisingly smooth transmission for a truck even without the accumulator-delete mod. Reverse is quite a bit too tall though.

Based on the wheel and tire combo, its overlanding should probably be limited to pavement... without potholes.

lol, not really condoning it, per se, just identifying the high likelihood that a series of events that start with tons of people going around slashing other people’s tires will logically end with at least one person getting perforated by an owner of said tires.

I’ve met city dwellers who aren’t aware that tires can be re-inflated and instead replace them.

And that’s how a motherfucker ends up shot.

Same experience here, and I ride too. The problem is that they accepted the belief without much evidence, so evidence alone cannot dispel that faith. The only way to lose faith is for something to happen that makes a person question that belief.

Good thing I already own the device that can stop these idiots in their tracks:

When most of the cars that I would consider buying are steadily getting replaced by more and more fucking crossovers, yeah I’m going to talk shit about an ever shrinking pool of options. Maybe if the CX-5 had a stick-shift option I wouldn’t be so pissed but, alas, Mazda is not the same company it used to be.
