Twitter is a hell hole, yes. But pretending like it’s easier to spread misinformation on Twitter than any other social media site is a joke.
FAA doesn’t have laws. They have rules. The only thing Congress did was grant the FAA authority to make rules pertinent to aircraft safety. Congress doesn’t have to go back and approve every rule they create.
More importantly, it’s not a law congress passed, it’s a rule implemented by the FAA.
“having a draconian law that governs who can turn on the “No Smoking” sign in 2024 seems truly ridiculous. Yet, considering how unproductive lawmakers in Congress can be, it’s no surprise that they’ve forgotten to change it”
Nothing against her- she brought a lot of good attention to a serious problem. But also, no- I don’t really need to hear her opinion on this. She isn’t a scientist who knows how removing glacier ice from a Fjord will impact anything.
There are no other types anywhere close to standard temperature and pressure. And I know this ice is from underwater, but not nearly deep enough for a different type of ice to form.
“Not a unique snowflake” accounts for way more of this than you think.
I don’t pay attention or notice the vast majority of ads I see. They’re everywhere. I know there’s about 10 ads on this Gizmodo page right now, don’t know any of the products.
My favorite part of this thought experiment is almost everyone I know who hears it the first time thinks the answer is obvious, and it is only upon discussion that the complexities come in.
I feel like Braveheart really needs to be on the list. Won a best director Oscar. Really set the standard for what epic war movies would look like for years to come.
I’m guessing they’re adding fast connect options- as judging from the screen shot. At least with my ear buds, every time I want to add them, I have to re-go through that menu, instead of them auto-connecting.
I just looked it up- last year there were 16,900 people who went to the emergency room from propane grills last year. So, the turkey fryer injuries probably have a higher injury per use rate, but they appear pretty similar. And no one is saying “don’t use a propane grill, not worth it.”
I love stuffing. And I love turkey. I’ve never thought either one was improved by being cooked with the stuffing inside of the turkey.
Question- November 11 is a Saturday, so the Federal Holiday this year is Friday November 10. The top of the article sort of combines these into Friday, November 11. So, are all of these deals on Friday, or Saturday?
I think they’re really good... for fast food cheese curds. That has to be a different standard than dive bar cheese curds.
I’m pretty sure “snark” is the only tone Gizmodo knows
Wasn’t the whole point of those spoon things that they could use them to stir the McFlurry, but now they no longer whip it up. The toppings are just dropped on top.
If you follow the source article, from the WSJ, you will see this quote:
It would make it just as random in finding them, but would still encourage people to bounce around the bottom of the board because you don’t just want to find them, you want to find them when you have a bunch of money. Finding a daily double when you can only double your $400 isn’t nearly as useful as finding it when…
