For a tech blog, Gizmodo sure does seem to have a pretty basic lack of understanding of science and technology.

This is some real water carrying. Yes, gas prices are high. Where is this idea that “burning man is only full of rich, Instagram influencers” come from? Yeah, of course those are the people posting about Burning Man on Instagram, but most of the people there are not rich, not living in luxury, pre-built campsites, and not Instagram influencers.

Oh but you see, some people who make posts on Instagram for money went to Fyre Fest, and some people who make posts on Instagram for money went to Burning Man, thus they are the same. Also, since some people who go to Burning Man are bad and annoying, everyone who goes is bad an annoying.

Before anyone hops on this, I’d spend a couple minutes reading the tripadvisor reviews for this place. It sounds like a dump.

I mean, does he not? Isn’t his main complaints in the song that he’s under-paid, overtaxed and there is rampant inflation? At least two of those are directly complaining about the “Rich Men.”

That’s one of the poorest written articles I’ve read. The percentage of crashes avoided is calculated by number of crashes/number of miles driven. OK, I guess that’s fine, but I feel most miles I drive I’m not close to having an accident. And then at the end it says “and we don’t know how it compares to self driving…

Also, get TSA pre-check. If the adults have it, they can bring all of their 12 and under children with them. Not have to take out liquids or laptops. Not have to take off shoes. Best $20/year you can spend.
