It’s not “well documented,”  it’s “frequently documented.” There are many, many articles about it. But every single one of them only have a single source- the CEO claiming it. There is no follow up. No evidence presented. Just the quote from the CEO.

“However, customers everywhere made the mistaken assumption that because “4" is bigger than “3,” the McDonald’s burger was actually larger, and therefore the better deal. Woo, American math skills!”

The tech world loves to talk about the difference between “waterproof” and “water resistant” but that difference doesn’t exist. Nothing is “waterproof” in the way this article is talking. Everything has a depth and time limit. Even submarines, if they go deep enough, for long enough, they will leak.

But Radar Cruise Control doesn’t make it more or less likely for someone to pull in front of you. Your first comment made it seem like RCC is what allowed people to jump in front of you.

Why do you care if another car gets in front of you?

Also, you can’t see if if you’re wearing polarized sunglasses

On the other hand, good ACC (like the Mazda system) is, if anything, undervalued. I don’t think I would ever buy a car with ACC again, now that I have one with it.

32F and 5C doesn’t make sense because 32 F has 2 significant figures. But if they said about 40 F (or about 5C) that would make sense.

It’s all about significant figures. It’s “about 1 million miles away” not “exactly 1 million miles away” and it is a little less than a million miles away (907,000 miles). So, it’s “about a million miles away” but if you’re converting that to km, well, it’s “about 1.4 million km” (1.46 M km).

While I get where you’re coming from, it’s more than just mortgage + PMI. A lot of first time home buyers don’t account for all the expenses of home ownership. It’s mortgage + PMI + property tax + repair costs + home insurance and other little things.

How can you know the “best” probiotics, when researchers don’t even know if they are beneficial, and if they are beneficial, which ones or how much someone should take?

“Why are they training oil drillers to be astronauts rather than astronauts to be oil drillers? You would think the learning curve would be somewhat more steep on the oil-drillers-to-astronauts rout”

“If it’s too cold for you, it’s probably too cold for your pet, so keep your animals inside”

Too cold for me” when wearing what clothing? Too cold for me naked is probably 65 F, where if I’m wearing my winter gear, I can stay outside in -20 F indefinitely and be just fine.

So, if not the CDC, where do you recommend I get my advice for how to navigate the pandemic?

Personally I agree, but that’s not how it works in a lot of cases. For instance, driving drunk vs driving drunk and hitting someone but they live vs drunk driving and hitting someone and they die are all different crimes.

The author probably thinks it’s supposed to be “working on a communication issue” because they’re not familiar with this usage of “working” as in “working a problem.”

This is a much better telescope than the one which was supposed to launch in 2007. So, in a way we missed out, but we missed out on a last gen telescope, and this is very current gen.

Your other option is just to get vaccinated, and then still go to the movie. But you do you.

We have this article every year, and it’s a dumb article every year.
