Yeah. It seems like Gizmodo thinks the first amendment is a hindrance to good law, not a good law on its own.
“funnier when you know they’d be all for this legislation if it were their team pushing it”
There’s two problems here. The first is a lack of queer representation in mainstream movies and television series. The second however, is saying every close male friendship is “queer bait” and this site is guilty of it. I watched the whole show, there was nothing in the show that implied Falcon and Winter Soldier were…
This is a distinction without meaning. By this definition, nothing is waterproof. Even a submarine has depth and pressure limits.
One thing to point out- yes JWST is very delayed, and yes some of that is due to standard contractor shenanigans, there is another big part, requirements creep. The JWST which eventually launches is way more capable than the one originally bid.
Too far from the equator. To get something that big to L2, it needs all of the velocity assist it can get.
Oh, they said stuff about it. They said it was wonderful.
Because if you flip the spin of one entangled particle, the other particle’s spin won’t flip- instead entanglement between the two particles will be broken. Quantum Entanglement says once one particle’s spin is measured, you instantly know the other one’s spin is in the opposite direction, but then you’re done. They…
Yes. Quantum entanglement is cool. No, quantum entanglement doesn't mean that once particles are entangled they stay entangled or if you flip the spin of one, the other also flips. I wish pop sci quit perpetuating this
No. Because the description of quantum entanglement in this article (and every pop sci article) completely misrepresents what quantum entanglement is.
While Fast and Furious has gotten absurd, calling them a cash grab is just not true. Each of these movies have obviously been made with care. Sure, they’re stupid, but they’re also doing really cool, complex stunts (like actually dropping cars out of planes) which cash grab films would have done with CGI.
I’ve seen this spread around quite a bit, but I don’t know where people are getting this from. It’s simply not true.
For a vaccinated person to spread the virus, two things has to happen, both of which are unlikely. First, they have to get COVID after being vaccinated- it can happen, but it is unlikely. Second, they have to have enough COVID virus replicate in their body that they have enough virus to shed in a high enough number to…
Do people want better video chat capabilities that seems more natural? Of course they do. What a weird question.
Amazon makes Ring. Eufy is made by Anker, who primarily sells on Amazon but is not an Amazon company.
This is by no means the biggest security snafu to hit a tech company, but instead of the headline being “You should re-boot your Eufy security system” (aka- the reasonable thing to do since the bug was patched), since it’s a small company that Gizmodo isn’t trying to stay in the good graces of, it’s “turn off your…
So really, what does “follow the science” mean to you? I did this right- I locked down, I only did small, outdoor gatherings with friends, didn’t travel, wore my mask, and got my shot. Now, the science says it’s fine for me to go maskless, but suddenly it’s not “follow the science” it’s “something, something,…
People drawing a conclusion like this from the comment above is what prevents reasonable discussions from taking place on even slightly complex topics.
The article they link to also says the “the company has a majority of white male employee” which isn’t possible when under half the employees are white. Plurality maybe, but not majority.
