Like fights about sports, I think it’s a mistake for transgender/gender nonconforming people to be choosing this fight. It means that, when many people are still very uncertain where they stand on gender issues, public battles are being fought on ground that is not especially favorable.

Could you even write the question “Why Do Men Keep Winning The Non-Binary Acting Awards” without mis-gendering someone?

Fair point, but I don’t know I just like it when actors are fine taking risks just for the fun of doing it, which not a lot of actors have the option do really do. I always hate that “It’ll be good if we’re high” thing.  Like buddy, that’s true of any movie, so let’s just watch Braveheart or something.

I remember a dude roping me into seeing this movie back in college because “no man, if we smoke a ton it’s gonna rule”. 2 hours later I was just really high and disappointed. This is a roundabout way of saying good for the actors. Glad someone was having fun with the movie
