Of those I think only Guardians 2 and TDK come close. I mean The Suicide Squad is great too but it’s in some nebulous space where I don’t know if it’s supposed to be a sequel or a reboot and I don’t think the movie cares.

It’s a real great scene.  It’s so Raimi and so comic-y and it all just comes together so perfectly.

Still can’t believe this hasn’t featured in a Spider-Man movie yet.  Homecoming had Blitzkrieg Bop on the soundtrack!  It was a perfect opportunity!

As Doc Ock, Alfred Molina tops Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, but he’s also getting more to play. Ock has a wife, with whom he discusses poetry, a dream, values, and morals.

My biggest problem with SM3 isn’t actually the too many villains or the dancing or any of the things people normally point to, it’s actually the Sandman plot. Retconning him as the guy who kills Uncle Ben completely undercuts the Spider-Man origin story. If the guy who Peter fails to stop isn’t the one who offs Ben,

I can see the argument but I think this article (and I) would agree that S-M2 has an edge up because it leans more into the bombastic, over-the-top nature of superhero comics. Dark Knight tries to stay much more grounded. I mean, don’t get me wrong, TDK is still very comic book-y, but when you compare the two it’s

I will accept Spider-Verse as a valid contender but don’t come at me with No Way Home.

I think the gain is just server space, whether it’s for Paramount+ or just their more recent shows. It costs money to host stuff on a website and people probably aren’t watching those older shows anymore (or at least nearly as much). It’s just a large scale corporate version of the way you probably overwrite old stuff

Or faking sick....

You had me at “Aubrey Plaza’s [...] ass”

Carey really, genuinely enjoys hanging out with the normal, “working class” people who serve as The Price Is Right’s audience and contestants, even when they’re boozed up, which “happens all the time,” the host reveals. “They’ll have a gummy or I’ll smell alcohol on their breath. Not unusual.

Yeah, he ain’t wrong. Like, most everything CW put out was schlock, but it was fun schlock, and sometimes they had a genuine gem (well, at least until they inevitably ran it way too long and things got weird and/or bad... and sometimes even that was fun to see how wild things could get). And as cable dies its slow

This just makes me a little sad because I know from the end it ends with Wright having Alzheimer’s. Why else would Hanks be telling her where they lived?

Damn, the dark jokes write themselves but as someone who has seen relatives experience Alzheimer's/dementia (and am very worried I'll get it down the road), I know the whole situation is just turbo-fucked and I'm so sorry for her. I wish her family the best dealing with it.

Fair enough

“Of course, the Chaplin Lot had a rich history before the Muppets got there, and will hopefully continue to be part of Hollywood history after the Muppets are gone.”

Perhaps before they're hung from the gallows they can tell everyone they buried a server full of the stolen media in one piece.

Yes, they’re clearly using it as an expression. They’re saying that disliking the show is not an instant sign of racism/sexism/etc. A lot of people tend to take shows/movies like this where a lot of negative complaints are just review bombing with veiled racism (or not veiled at all racism) and take any complaints as

Being a collector is a losing game these days. At least if you’re trying to capitalize on it later I think. But hey, you do you, don’t mean to yuck your yum.

Well clearly not since a lot are getting staked/killed left and right, but otherwise yes whenever Dr. Strange or whoever finds a cure or slays the big bad behind Blade, I’m sure they will be (except the ones that were already evil).  For whatever reason, tragedy never lasts too long in 616...
