Lifters went bad, car would occasionally spew a trail of oil smoke while driving, lots of small electrical issues, all while the car was a lot newer than this one (6 years old)…

Really good article. I’d add a non-contact voltage tester to the mix too, which is especially useful with older houses with questionable labeling on the circuit breaker.
