The VMT tax- tax per miles driven- is one of the stupidest ideas that gets brought out every so often. It’s taking a gas tax and making it hideously complex for no apparent reason except for rent-seeking on behalf of who would have to administer the infrastructure.

So you get a 75 HP engine that was swapped in the car but the capability to go all the way to 95 HP? And the legendary Renault reliability? There are a lot more fun and reliable cars out there for the price. Hard pass.

As a 1995 model, it should have driver and passenger airbags, which negates my biggest complaint about a lot of the older cars listed on NPOCP- the safety issue.

That’s three more soup apes than I’m comfortable with.

I wish I were in Chicago. The best part about Streets of Fire is that you could replace both Pare and Lane with mannequins and not really detract from the movie as a whole.
