Hitching her up and driving away with her in the car is kidnapping, criminally, and false imprisonment under torts. Falsely reporting a gun is also a crime. Cops should have arrested the repo men, not her.

Now playing

I recently travelled to Thailand and hired a local tour guide for a day who drove around in something similar - a customized HiAce that was super-swank. I loved it. If I lived in Thailand, that’s how I would travel everywhere. And this looks even better, at least from the inside.

I agree - SHAWD would have added weight, but really differentiated it from CTR.

It’s hard for me to imagine this is NP because my first car that I bought out of college was a 1976 Spider that I got for $400. Granted this was in the 90’s and it was in terrible shape. I probably spent $1000 fixing it up in the first year and yet it still caught fire several times before I sold it to my mechanic.

I loved taco salads as a highschooler in the 90's. I would welcome their return but I can see why they fell out of favor; they are unhealthy, unauthentic, and kind of a mess to eat. Mexican food has come a long way in this country since the 90's and there are plenty of other options that are better on every level. So

I think monetizing it is pretty crass, but I don’t agree with that “But real charity doesn’t need to be filmed.”

Sauerkraut is eaten with all kinds of sausage in Germany (that’s where we get our hotdogs with sauerkraut and mustard tradition from) and it’s not intended cover up the flavor of the meat. The sausages are quite tasty on their own.

100% agree.

That’s a pretty absurd argument. Almost every food I can think of is enhanced in its flavor by spices, sauces, toppings, etc. A great tasting hotdog topped with good mustard and sauerkraut is even better.

This is my biggest and potentially only isssue with protected bike lanes. In NYC where I live, almost every intersection is like that. It’s bad for bikes travelling at 20 mph but it’s even worse for motor and electric scooters that also use the lane (sometimes illegally). They can come up so fast, it’s almost

Because we’re talking about locking someone out of their car if it isn’t, which could have serious and potentially dangerous consequences. I suppose if there were some kind of failsafe or if the default failure mode didn’t actually lock someone out of the car, then maybe there’s a way it could work, but then it

Agreed - for me to be in favor of it as a mandatory safety feature, it really would have to be trivial in price (about the same as what it costs to put seat belts in cars), it would need to be 100% effective, and it would have to be completely passive - like a sweat sensor built into the start button or spectrum

You can’t legislate technology into existence, but if there is no requirement you can be sure that very little effort will go into creating the technology. Sometimes it takes legislation to get the cart rolling.

About 1/3 of all traffic deaths are alcohol related, and it’s estimated that alcohol related crashes more than $120 billion in damages. I’m not saying I’m for mandatory breathalyzer tech, but if the cost was trivial and the accuracy were 100% it would be hard to argue against it.

“accused of stealing not just assets but also staff”

I’m all for Genesis getting a good reputation, but it’s going to take a lot more -not from the car but from the brand. They’re going to need to go at least a decade without any major misstep and that clock gets reset every time they fumble. And they’re going to have to do a much better job of branding and design. I

Tesla-branded panel gap alignment gauge was a close second.

Yeah, but that thing doesn’t look like it’s made like one of those cheapy Coleman trailers. All that glass, all that weight - it’s gotta be pricey to put that together.

I wasn’t trying to call you out or anything, just emphasizing my point which is that trailers are actually really quite pricey, and these guys are probably waaaay underestimating what it would actually cost to make something like this.

I don’t think you know what “nice” RVs actually cost - Airstreams go for upwards of $200k and even the midsized ones are $100k+. And that’s without all the battery/solar power/gee-wizzery.
