You say “at your age” but clearly you are not of that age. When you get to that age, you get a label maker. Then you start labeling everything from spice jars to power adapters, from storage containers to power tools. And you keep everything like screws and rubber bands in old spice jars. And you label those spice

You need a label maker...

I agree completely. Jeep started it, of course, but it definitely trickled out to the rest of the SUVs. Tans had a big uptick in the post-Desert Storm era. Greens also. I see these newer flat colors as an attempt to carry that trend but be a little different, not perhaps directly trying to add Navy to the fetishized

I’m wætherman and I approve this GIF.

Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman did the first half (or more) of this trip in The Long Way Up. They did it on Harley Livewires (“barely modified”) in about 100 days. Those had substantially less range. If I recall, the advance team basically installed chargers along most of the route and it worked okay. Mostly.

“Low cost fillers” - by that they mean grain? They make it sounds like General Mills uses sawdust and bone meal or something.

Hmm. Seems like that might be better, since the toppings would be more cooked and integrated with the cheese better than laying on top. But it doesn’t sound like it would be as appetizing to look at.

I wonder if that’s the same one we used to go to in high school back more than 30 years ago… that was the upscale place for gatherings back then. Dennys was the place for late night slumming…

This is a bad take.

Limited selection, par baked… at some point you have to realize you’re probably just better off keeping a few frozen pizzas around because the wait time on those is even less.

I don’t know if any pizza place that “par bakes” their pizzas to sell by the slice, and “finish off the cooking process” later. Every slice I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot, living in NYC) has been fully cooked, then reheated when the customer orders. Maybe they do it different where you are.

Season 2; Dinner with Devolder.

Looks like a more refined version of the Local Motors Rally Fighter. And I like it.

I think there’s something strange going on with the paint and/or lighting on the prototype. I think if we were to get a clean shot of it from a few angles, it would look better.

For reference;

I can’t tell if I love it or not. The rear is nice but the grill is not sitting well with me - somewhere between a Camaro and a 250 GTO (or maybe 275 GTB) that isn’t quite as nice as either....

While I fully support modding cars, especially ones that weren’t that great to begin with, I don’t think this is a great candidate for modding. Whoever buys this will be paying a premium for an unmolested, undriven car. That value will almost certainly go down as soon as one bolt from the engine mount is changed. Yes

I must know more.. does it have a name?

Why does Jalopnik let BMW and others get away with this “coupe” bullshit? I mean, I get that the car is officially called the Gran Coupe, but that doesn’t mean you have to use that name. The article refers to it as the Gran Coupe no less than 22 times. Why not just say 840i? Or better yet, just Gran. Like someone’s

But why? Couldn’t they just use the  electricity being generated by the alternator to feed the battery? It just seems weird to have regen braking on the front wheels all the time rather than just have it like every other hybrid system with the gas engine powering the alternator, feeding the battery.
